BlackBerry Curve 8900 Review

BlackBerry Curve 8900 is a great phone for business persons. It is equipped with the RIM (Research In Motion) e-mail technology. The solution allows you to use not only the public but also the corporate e-mail accounts and allows to assign different sounds for incoming message to each account. The solution also gives you full remote synchronization of calendar, contacts, notes and tasks. It is also possible to view Word, Excel, Power Point, PDF and image files.

What else is special the phone? Certainly noteworthy TFT screen size 480/360 pixels. It shows only 65 thousand colors but has very good contrast. The device, as seen in pictures, has a full QWERTY keyboard. This gives possibility to write quick and efficient writing e-mails and text messages. It has a built-in Wi-Fi system, GPS navigation module, good processor, microSD card slot (up to 16 GB), BlackBerry maps, photo camera with autofocus and flash, the HTML browser, miniUSB connector, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, and a solid housing. Battery has a capacity of 1400 mAh, which in theory allows for six hours talks. It can be easily recharged not only by a charger, but also when connected to the computer through the USB cable.

Unfortunately, BlackBerry Curve 8900 also has some drawbacks. It has no UMTS module, so web browsing is not really comfortable. It also has a small built-in memory (256 MB) and no radio. A pity, because in the package, there are earphones and BlackBerry Curve 8900 can be used as an MP3 player.

BlackBerry Curve 8900 offers a media player (audio and video formats), and 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash.
