A few days ago we saw a photograph and specification of the second generation of Samsung Galaxy S - S2 i9200 on the Russian website.

Of course, this is not a confirmed piece of information and the picture looks like a slightly improved photo of Samsung Captivate.

Samsung Galaxy S2 i9200

Nevertheless, the appearance is one thing. What is more important, we also have a specification, which (in case the information is true), definitely raises the bar for other manufacturers of smartphones. Galaxy i9200 S2 is to be equipped with a 4.3 inch AMOLED 2 screen with an incredible resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Galaxy i9200 S2 is going to be equipped with… 2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB ROM!!! Moreover, Samsung Galaxy i9200 S2 will have 32GB of internal memory. Also the 8Mpix camera with HD video recording capability, and of course the A-GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi . The handset is likely to be supported by the Android 3.0 operating system.

You have to admit that these specifications are really impressive, but let's hope the rumor proves true, and if this monster will be released in early 2011.

We had some problems with choosing the right title to this article... Why?
These mobiles are two different versions of the model called i5800 and are named Samsung Galaxy Naos and Samsung Galaxy Teos. As it was already mentioned, the phones have the same specifications and vary only when it comes to casing, which is clearly visible in the picture. Samsung Galaxy Teos and Naos run Android 2.1 with TouchWiz user interface and a 667 MHz processor.

Naos and Teos have quite a big 3.2-inch WQVGA display (230 x 400 pixels) and support WiFi, HSDPA and A-GPS. As for the camera, which is a standard equipment in new mobiles, both phones have one with a 3Mpix matrix resolution.

Samsung I5500 or Samsung Galaxy 5 is another smartphone running Google's Android, which is aimed at people with less stuffed wallets.

Samsung I5500 Galaxy 5

Samsung expands its portfolio with the name of the new Galaxy model for the less affluent people - Galaxy 5 (I5500). The phone is equipped with a 2.8-inch TFT touch screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Galaxy 5 has only a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash – quite disappointing since you will not take excellent quality photos with it. The phone supports 3G HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and has Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0 connectivity, WiFi 802.11b/g, GPS with Assisted-GPS.

As for the multimedia features, the phone has an FM radio with RDS, 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, and of course a music player that supports the most popular file formats. Galaxy 5 has only 170 MB of the internal memory, but it is also equipped with a microSD memory card slot that will allow you to extend it to up to 16GB. As I already mentioned, Samsung I5500 has a Google's Android operating system version 2.1, and the great Touch Wiz 3.0 user interface. The battery (1200 mAh) allows for 387 minutes in talk mode, 3G, or up to 375 hours of standby time.

Samsung Galaxy 5 will be launched in July 2010, but its price is not yet known.

Samsung S3370 allows users to set up and access their e-mails almost effortlessly, view documents and access the most popular social networking sites (e.g. Facebook). As for the multimedia functions, S3370 offers a music player that supports the most common music extensions (MP3, AMR, AAC, AAC +, e-AAC +, WMA), FM radio with RDS and a 1.3 megapixel digital camera with video recording option. It is not really impressive, but for those who do not seek good quality of pictures taken from their mobiles and use the camera only from time to time, it should be enough .

It also has a MicroSD slot so it is possible to extend the onboard memory (it is only 16mb). The phone supports data transmission in the 3G standard and is now available for sale.

Samsung shows that it has quite unusual sense of humor. It is introducing the phone called ":)" to the market.

Samsung

The new phone from Samsung, causes a lot of problems. It is not because of its appearance or features, but its name. For how to pronounce the name of the phone that says “:)”? Thus, the Korean manufacturer has chosen to call its new phone this way. Samsung will be available exclusively for T-Mobile users.

Anyway, it is worth taking a closer look at the device with such a sophisticated name. Samsung is a mobile phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which is probably its biggest advantage, since, apart from that, it has only a 1.3 megapixel camera, music player and a dedicated button to start instant messaging.

But how do you imagine buying this phone in a store? I’d like Samsung …. (and here is the big smile on your face - )

Some rumours about a new member of the Samsung Corby family, Samsung Corby I5500, appeared some time ago. Hitherto the appearance of a new handset was unknown and we did not know much about the specifications of Samsung i5500 as well. Now it is the time to unveal news related to this new Samsung phone.

Samsung Corby I5500

The first news about Corby I5500 is the photo. In appearance it resembles older models of Samsung from this series and there is actually nothing new/interesting about it. Well, maybe beyond some extra buttons. And of course, we can se that Samsung Corby I5500 will be available in the AT&T network.

Another interesting thing is the specification. Samsung Corby I5500 will run with Android 2.1 (that's certain). It will be equipped with touchscreen QVGA display and WiFi (nothing fancy so far). Unfortunatelly, there will be only 2Mpix camera available (I thought that 3.2 or even 5 megapixels is a standard now). Corby I5500 will also have a microSD memory card slot and what do you know - a GPS receiver!

It is not known yet exactly when Corby Samsung I5500 will be on store shelves. It is known, however, that it will cost 199 euros without additional fees or taxes. Although the phones in this series do not have fancy specifications, crowds buy it. And how you like the first Samsung Corby with Android?

The sensational Samsung Wave S8500, which we described some time ago, is going to hit the market pretty soon. But before that happens, we decided to learn a bit about the second model, based on the innovative operating system Bada - S7200, which should soon be officially presented.

Samsung s7200

As previously announced, the next Samsung smartphone running the Bada OS will be cheaper and will not be as well-equipped as the Wave. However, it does not mean that the new model will not have the newest technologies. Samsung S7200 should be euquipped with Super AMOLED screen with the resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, Samsung S3C6410 processor (ARM11) with a 800MHz timing, and an excellent graphic system that supports OpenGL ES 2.0.

Of course, as it is becoming a standard, Samsung S7200 will support 3G HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS when it comes to communication. Moreover, it should be equipped with a nice 5Mpix camera and a microSD cards slot. Although the processor used in this model (S3C6410) does not belong to the most recent ones, it should be sufficient for the S7200 - the graphics processor – as we already mentioned - supports OpenGL ES 2.0, which is used by the Bada OS and CPU itself is relatively fast. However, you should not expect a performance comparable to Wave.

Samsung S7200 will hit the stores on holiday, and its price should be around 250-300 euros.

Samsung Star S5230 was as Samsung Preston S5600, meant for those clients who do look for new, inexpensive mobiles. This means that the manufacturer is currently trying to reach people who need modern technologies, touch screen device that offers great functionality and does not cost too much. Today we are reviewing the first model from the abovementioned - Samsung Star S5230. This model is also a major rival of the popular LG Cookie KP500. The box contains Samsung Star S5230, a charger, a stereo headset, user Guide, a USB cable and a software disk.

Samsung Star S5230

Samsung s5230 Star has almost the same parameters when it comes to the weight, size, functionality, and general specifications as LG Cookie KP500. However s5230 is shinier. Thanks to its compact size, you might forget you are carrying it in your pocket. S5230 has a 3-inch display with 240x400 pixel resolution that supports 262k colors. This screen allows to deliver proper image quality in poor lighting conditions. When it comes to sensitivity, S5230 might be a bit worse than LG Cookie, but still it is not bad.

Of course, Samsung S5230 Star is equipped with the accelerometer, bluetooth and a MicroSDHC card slot. It also has a 3.2 MP camera which offers decent image quality. Basically, it has everything a typical user might need. For more demanding clients, we would recommend higher models.
