RIM BlackBerry 9700 Bold Review

A new smart phone from RIM - BlackBerry 9700 Bold has recently been released. BlackBerry 9700 Bold is equipped with a QWERTY keyboard and is slightly lighter than its predecessor. The latest model has twice the memory, better camera and newer operating system.

BlackBerry OS 5.0 brings a lot of freshness to the newest RIM’s model. The core of the device is a 624 MHz processor, and it is supported by 256 MB of RAM. The screen in BlackBerry 9700 Bold has been reduced to 2.44 inches, however it has the same resolution - 480 x 320 pixels (HVGA)

Changing the display made the new Bold smoother - the current dimensions are 60 mm x 109 mm. However, it is as thick as the predecessor - 14 mm. BlackBerry 9700 Bold’s weight was reduced from 133 grams to 122 grams, with preserved battery capacity - it is still a 1500 mAh guaranteeing up to 6 hours talk time or up to 17 days standby time and continuous access to email Push.

The camera is much better. In BlackBerry 9700 Bold, we have 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, which guarantees decent quality of you photos. However, it is worth noticing that the competition has better matrices offering even 12 MP in their newest products. BlackBerry 9700 Bold phone supports microSDHC memory cards up to 32GB.
