Samsung S7200 Review

The sensational Samsung Wave S8500, which we described some time ago, is going to hit the market pretty soon. But before that happens, we decided to learn a bit about the second model, based on the innovative operating system Bada - S7200, which should soon be officially presented.

As previously announced, the next Samsung smartphone running the Bada OS will be cheaper and will not be as well-equipped as the Wave. However, it does not mean that the new model will not have the newest technologies. Samsung S7200 should be euquipped with Super AMOLED screen with the resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, Samsung S3C6410 processor (ARM11) with a 800MHz timing, and an excellent graphic system that supports OpenGL ES 2.0.

Of course, as it is becoming a standard, Samsung S7200 will support 3G HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS when it comes to communication. Moreover, it should be equipped with a nice 5Mpix camera and a microSD cards slot. Although the processor used in this model (S3C6410) does not belong to the most recent ones, it should be sufficient for the S7200 - the graphics processor – as we already mentioned - supports OpenGL ES 2.0, which is used by the Bada OS and CPU itself is relatively fast. However, you should not expect a performance comparable to Wave.

Samsung S7200 will hit the stores on holiday, and its price should be around 250-300 euros.
